THIS Made My Day!
Ok! So today's this-made-my-day post won't be about Joo Won.. But! Another favorite actor of mine: So Ji-sub. I found these clips by chance while I was looking for videos for making gifs I plan to use in the second part to my guest post. It's an old clip from summer last year when So Ji-sub was guesting on Infinity Challenge.. And poor guy... the things the guys at Infinity Challenge do to him.. It wasn't pretty, but at the same time I was laughing my head off watching it. That dirty look that Park Myeong-soo gave him just killed me!

It's Over...
Yeay! Finals is over! (I'm grinning and dancing on the inside! Wait make that doing backflips and windmill moves -it's my inside anyway!)
I just finished my last finals today and I almost didn't make it. Yes, after being paranoid all year round about missing an exam, yours truly ALMOST missed her finals this morning. What is that phrase again? self-fulfilling prophecy? I almost fulfilled that this morning. I thought the exam was going to be held at 2 pm, but thank God I text my friend to make sure about the time, and turned out it's at 10 freaking am! Can you imagine what would happen if I never asked my friend?

Finals, Coding, and Stills from Level 7 Civil Servant
I'm so happy now I just passed one of my finals this semester. To be honest, I don't think I deserve to feel THAT happy judging from the amount of time (or the lack of) I've put into preparing. Sure I lost hours and hours of my beauty sleep, but most actually went to finishing my last homework and procrastinating. Yep, me and procrastination are best friends for life. Even when I realized that I only have less than 3 days to revise for my
finals, I still used that time for rewatching Gaksital.. aish,
hopeless! (still it was fun though!)

Pretty Joo Won as Orange Caramel
LOL! This just made my day! He's just like the cutest thing ever, isn't he?!
Btw, watch out for the hand that reject Joo Won's kiss at minute 1:40! Oh boy, you do realize that there are gazillions girls out there who would trade place with you, right?
~It's official! I have the Joo Won disease! and I don't want to be cured..~

There's nothing better than Joo Won singing Nothing Better
I have a feeling that I will turn this blog into a Joo Won and Gaksital related blog. Which... definitely not a bad thing, and who cares right? It's my blog and I can put anything I want in it. Anyway I just found this video on YouTube today... And GAH, why are you so charming Joo Won? I know for sure that you can sing, but that falsetto is just too beautiful! <3 It makes me all mushy and gushy and just every possible feeling that involves happiness! If there's a camera on me watching this, then the girl at minute 2:02 would be ME!
Dear lovely Joo Won, please put an album out already! And please remember, if you ever gonna hold a fan meeting in Indonesia, please wait until I'm back! Pinky promise, okay! Pyong!

Lazy Weekend and Rerun of Gaksital Ep 1-2
I just spent a lazy weekend after a week full of deadlines, where I got an assignment due on Monday, Wednesday, and a paper which was due on Friday at 5 PM. I watched some movies after submitting my paper and then hibernated from Friday night all the way to Saturday noon to reward myself. Then I spent the rest of my Saturday just lazying around the apartment Hotaru no Hikari style and went out for dinner to eat Pho with other lovely Indonesians and I finally got a sim card for my blackberry (yes -finally!)
OK! That should be enough as a prologue to justify my first half of blog title and let me start on what really matters.. :D I watched the first two episodes of Gaksital today. I have to say that it is still as good (if not better) as when I watched it the first time. It reminded me why I got so hooked on this drama 6 months ago (phew, time flies..)! The actions, the story, the characters, *ehem* Joo Won.. And to think that I only picked it up because the sub on Ghost (a cyber crime drama by So Ji Sub) was so excruciatingly low at that time and Gaksital was the only drama that's fully subbed by Viki? It's good decision after all to click that play button six months ago.

The Best Ending Scene in TV Show EVER! (at least according to ME)
I don't know why, but I'm suffering from Gaksital withdrawal these couple of days back. Maybe it's an after-effect from watching the ending of Nice Guy, which after I let it marinate for a bit while, I found that it totally irked me to the core. There are so many unresolved/unclear issues, albeit the happy ending, I'm still greatly disappointed with the way they wrapped the drama..... which brings me to GAKSITAAAALl!!

A New Blog
I just knew today that Multiply will soon lose its blogging feature as it transforms into a marketplace site*. Thus began the horrendous task of downloading all of the files in my old blog (which I've been grooming for the last 5 years! Although the amount probably only come up to what average blogger post in one year or a even a month when taking Tumblr into account -_-) and migrating them all here.

The Best Things in Life are FREE!!
Yup that sentence beyond doubt summed up these couple of days. Every employee who is working around and underneath Nemangkawi mountain must be rejoicing right now as we’re spoilt with free internet access. Before I move on, I think I need to shed a light on the internet system in my office. Not everybody can access the internet from my office. Only the chosen group of people who can gain the privilege of accessing the internet. Even if you managed to gain the privilege, you still have to face the annoying internet blocks. No multiply. No facebook (oops, sorry multiply. I didn’t mean to promote other social network in your web). No downloading music. No streaming. No fun!
So how did we manage to have a free internet access in this strict, harsh, and cold working environment? Well I would like to brag how I use an advanced command prompt to bypass the office internet blocks. I mean that would make it sounds a lot cooler. Make me feel like Sandra Bullock in The Net -minus the identity thievery and actions-. But unfortunately I’m not at that level yet. There’s been a leak in the system that allows me, and others, to have access to every site I want. Streaming. Uploading. Downloading. Browsing. Virtually having all the fun you can in cyber world. Even subscribing an internet provider couldn’t produce this much fun. The secluded area caused us being timed out more often than actually using the internet. Therefore, here I am making the best out of this situation by writing an update on my blog after sucha long time. Am keeping my fingers crossed for another day of internet leak at the office. Might as well enjoy it while it last!

Cast Away
Man!! I can't believe that I finally can browse the internet from here.. It even can be considered as the 8th wonder of the world for me to have the internet access bearing in mind that i live in a quite secluded area (read: tembagapura) with no internet access (only intranet),and no modem to get me connected.. Pretty depressing riteee? So how did I finally manage to post this blog? Well by using my all-powerful cellphone.. Yup,that's why it takes a long time to construct a blog..
Anyway,just an update.
Anyway,just an update.

ATM = Awkward Tongue-tied Moment
Have u ever been standing in an ATM, minding ur own business, doing ur normal banking transaction when somebody suddenly opens the ATM door and barge in on u? Well I have, and it’s really irritating. I instantly thought, what is wrong with this person? Can’t he see that there is somebody already inside the ATM? So I hardly can’t imagine why would someone barge in on another someone inside the ATM, at least until last Wednesday where I found myself in that situation.
To set the record straight, I have no intention on barging in on someone on the ATM for the sake of wanting to know what does it feel like to be a barge inner (wait… I don’t think that’s english, but well u know what I mean rite..). I was actually tricked into doing it. Well ok…. u got me. Nobody actually tricked me into doing it. But I was totally tricked. Tricked by the situation in my campus.
It was the last week of the examination week. My campus was really quiet because most people were either having their exams or studying for em. Moi, u asked? Well, I was working hard too! I used most of my free times working hard on….. playing cards!! Bwahahaha!
Anyhow, I had just finished my presentation test and since it was almost 12 o’clock, my friends and I decided to have our lunch in this place called ‘Gelap Nyawang’ which is located in the front of my campus. It’s a really famous place. Whaaaa? U don’t believe me? Well go watch ‘Jomblo’ and see the place for urself! But halfway there, I just realized that I only got about 3000 rupians on my purse (btw, for all of u non-Indonesian people who read this, before u have this fascinating imagination about how loaded I must be, I have to remind u that 3000 rupians are not a lot, it’s probably equal to 30 cents or something like that). So I then decided to take some cash from the ATM first.
As I have mentioned before, it was an examination day and it was really quiet by the time I reached the ATM site. Honestly, it was so quiet that u could almost see those rolled straws rolling around just like in the western movies. And from the spot where I approached the ATM, I didn’t see anyone inside the ATM. So assuming that there was nobody inside the ATM, I then hastily opened the door. And to my surprise, there was this guy inside the ATM (let’s call him the-annoyed-ATM-guy) who stared back at me with this shocked/irritated looks on his face. I was stunned by this overwhelming situation. It was really awkward and it did feel like the longest 3 seconds of my life (ok, that’s an exaggeration since there were much more embarrassing/awkward situations that caused time-freeze longer than this, like the one where I accidentally went in to the men restroom in an airport. What, Maya? What did you say? Well it's a long story, so to to make the long story short let say that I blamed the jet lag). Anyway, after experiencing the longest 3 seconds of my life, the reality of the situation then started to kick in. So I did what a normal person would do when they found themselves in this kind of situation. I cringed, closed the ATM door without saying sorry, and immediately attempted to hide in the bushes near the ATM.
Obviously my friends then did whatever they could to help me…… by laughing at me! Well, I don’t blame them. It was a stressful/long presentation test that we’ve been through. So it must be amusing to find somebody who stupidly put herself in an awkward situation and overreacting about it. Still laughing at me, they then asked me to come out from my hiding place by calling my name -unquestionably, they’re trying to expose my identity to the-annoyed-ATM-guy. But I digressed. I kept hiding in the bushes until that annoyed-ATM-guy got out from the ATM. He then walked to the east-side of the ATM, so I decided to make my way to the ATM from the west-side to avoid him. But quarter-way walking, the-annoyed-ATM-guy then decided to go to the west-side of the ATM, turned around, and walked toward me as I was already got out from the bushes and exposed! NOOOOooo!!
So, I had no other option than just kept walking then cringed apologetically at him. And believe me, the longest 3 seconds of my life that I have confidently stated before was nothing compared to this situation. It was soooooooo awkward. By the time I reached the ATM, all of my friends laughed (again) at me. Then one of them told me that the-annoyed-ATM-guy is one of the student senators in my campus. Seems like he is a quite popular and “important” person in my campus.
So if I put this whole situation into an analogy, for instance, if my campus were a country then I would have barged in on a senator in an ATM…. and there’d be a teeny, tiny possibility that I might get shot by the bodyguards!!! Cool Scary, huh?

Thoughts on American Idol Top 6 Result Show
Ok so this is my first post ever on American Idol. I’ve been following this show since day one, but finally I’m tickled to write one post regarding it now..
To begin with, what a shocking elimination on American Idol last night! I mean, I would never have thought that Carly is the one who’s gonna go. Overall, I genuinely thought that her performance was good. Yes, it was screechy in parts, but I think she pulled it off. And she definitely was having fun. So I was sure that it would be either Jason Castro or Brooke White who was going home last night. Jason struggled throughout his performance -well, he was ill so it’s understandable- and Brooke was an awkward disaster when she decided to start all over again. So although they are two of my favorite contestants, I genuinely believed that one of them was going to head home that night. But it turned out to be Carly. Maybe it’s the song choice. I mean JCS is indeed an upbeat song, but as a Christian I personally find the lyrics and the whole idea of the musical to be unsettling. Maybe some of the people who watch the show felt the same way too. Maybe. I dunno..
But anyhow, despite the elimination and the controversy thing. The result show was really fun to watch last night. Some of the highlights was when Ryan kissed Simon gently on his head and pretended like it didn’t mean a thing, while Simon Cowell looked at Ryan like it DID mean a thing. Well I’m sure it didn’t mean a thing, Simon. Then there’s a part where ALW gave his suggestion of love song that he should write about Paula-Simon relationship:
- “Time to Say Goodbye”
- “How Can I Say I Miss You If You Weren’t Going Away”
That was hilarious. I like the second one better though!
But the major highlights have to come from Jason Castro. I have to say that he made it an interesting show to watch last night with his laid-back attitude. The yawning part in the backstage when other contestants were clearly anxious when waiting for the announcement. And the part where he fell on his kness when finding out that Syesha was the one on the bottom two, not Brooke. The ‘train motion choo-choo’ impersonation. And to cap it off: the ‘I don’t really want to sing right now’.. That was amusing.. And although I’m pretty sure that he thought that he was gonna be the one who went home last night -well I did too!-, at least he wasn’t all that stressed up about it. Sometimes, what makes American Idol a tense show to watch is because of the facial expressions of the contestants which reveal how stressed they are. But watching Jason Castro last night was refresing.
Btw, I like the way Carly left on high note. I'm sure that she'll find success in the future with that big voice of her. And I hope David Cook will be the one who win the whole thing, not the other David..

staying awake..
I just watched ‘The Invasion’ (which is starred by Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig, btw) about 2 days ago. And on one part of the movie, Craig told Kidman about ‘how one can stay awake for a week’ which I found fascinating since I want to be able to do that in order to finish typing up my undergraduate thesis –not all of them obviously, just the second and third chapter. The problem is everytime I want to do my thesis, I dunno why I always feel sleepy. I normally take a nap in order to recharge. Then after that I thought that I need to refresh my brain by doing fun things so I normally watch TV. Then watch some movies which I already watched before. Then web around the internet. Then click the refresh button over and over and over again and feel good about it. Then… Hang on.. maybe the sleeping part is not my real problem. Maybe I should just stop procrastinating and do whatever I’m supposed to do, which is typing up my undergraduate thesis…
